dvd, data: contains all images, ambient captures and raw video footage. This is how the entire archive is stored.

dvd, image: contains images formatted for use at a lab.

files, print: 12x18 inches at 240 dpi, saved to jpg format.

gallery, flash: an animated slideshow. these galleries are slick looking but individual images cannot be extracted from them.

gallery, html: used to browse images. thumbnail and screensize titles refer to file numbers. files used to make these galleries are perfect for e-mail or web use, but not for printing.

media sequence: combines photography, video, music and ambient sound into a 15~20 minute movie. The sequence is written to a menu based dvd which plays on computers or tv attached players. music provided by client. view

partial release: of copyright on all images to client, which includes personal but not commercial use. Brent Hirak reserves the right to use images for self-promotion and/or commercial purposes.

payment: occurs in two parts. the first takes place at the time of booking, 40%. which is non-refundable. final payment made upon delivery of all media.

portraiture, informal: happens without supplemental lighting. pros: quick, cheap, can be done without an ssistant. cons: less smooth transition between light and shadow. portraiture, formal: requires strobe lights with various modifications. I need an assistant to shoot this way (which adds cost.) With an assistant I can make more images in a given amount of time and have increased possibility for locations.
